How to run Thanksgiving bingo

  1. Pick printed or live. Paper suits the kids’ table and grandparents; live suits a big family, a Friendsgiving or relatives joining on Zoom.
  2. Play while the pie bakes. A round takes about ten minutes, so it fills the wait before dinner or the slump after it.
  3. Play a few short rounds: four corners, then a line, then the whole card, so more people win something.
  4. Small prizes: first slice of pie, the wishbone, a pass on dish duty, or chocolate turkeys.

Thanksgiving bingo for family, school and work

For a family gathering, put live bingo on the TV and everyone plays from their own phone; relatives far away join the same game on a video call. In a classroom, print a card per student the week before the break and read the words as clues (“the bird everyone eats”). For an office Friendsgiving, share the caller screen on Teams. More for the season: the live Bingo caller, the bingo card generator for any words, and Christmas bingo for next month.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Thanksgiving bingo?

Everyone gets a card of Thanksgiving words, a different mix of the 65. The caller reads words one at a time and players mark them. The first to complete the pattern (a line, four corners or the whole card) shouts BINGO and wins.

Are these Thanksgiving bingo cards free to print?

Yes. Print up to 100 different cards at a time, 1, 2 or 4 to a page, with a caller’s sheet. No signup.

Is Thanksgiving bingo good for kids?

Yes. The words are simple (turkey, pumpkin pie, scarecrow, parade), so early readers can play; for little ones, read each word aloud and point to it on the caller’s sheet.

Can family on Zoom play too?

Yes. Start a live game and share the caller screen on the call; everyone in the room and on the call plays on their own phone.

Can I add our own words?

Yes. Pick “Your own words” in the card maker and type 24 to 100 of your own: family names, your traditions, what’s always on your table.

How many people can play?

Printed cards: as many as you print. Live: free rooms hold 20 players; a Host or Event plan holds 50 or 250.
