Shower and party games

Bridal Shower Games

Games the whole shower plays at once, each guest on their own phone, with bridal shower questions already loaded. Free, and nothing to print.

Free · up to 20 guests · no app, no signup

By the Herd Games team · Updated

The classic shower games are a printed sheet and a pen: one person reads, everyone scribbles, and somebody adds up the scores while the party waits. It works, but the quiet guests drift off, and the bride’s college friends and her grandmother never quite end up playing together.

The games below work differently. Every guest answers at the same time on their own phone, the answers come up together on the screen, and the whole room reacts at once. Guests who have never met are laughing at the same answers within a minute, and the scoring is done for you. Groups finish more than 4,500 games a month on Herd Games, and the bridal shower questions below are written for exactly this kind of room.

Bridal Shower Would You Rather on a phone: round 1 of 8 asks whether you would rather have a live band or a DJ, with a button for each
Bridal Shower Would You Rather on a guest’s phone. Everyone taps an answer, then the whole room sees the split.

How it works

  1. 1

    One person starts a room

Pick a game and press Create. You get a room code and a link to share.

  2. 2

    Everyone joins on their phone

Each guest opens the link or types the code. No app, no download and no account.

  3. 3

Put it on the TV if you like

Most games can go on a TV. In the lobby, press "Put it on the big screen" on your phone, then open herdgamesonline.com/tv on the TV and type the code your phone shows.

The best bridal shower games

The first three open with bridal shower questions loaded, ready to play.

1. Herd Mentality

Best icebreaker for guests who have just met

Everyone answers the same question, like "Name a classic first dance song" or "What do couples argue about most?", and you score by giving the same answer as most of the room. Nobody needs to know the bride well to play, so it gets every guest talking from the first round.

Play Bridal Shower Herd Mentality

2. Would You Rather

Best while guests arrive

Big wedding or elope on a beach? Live band or DJ? Everyone votes and the split comes up, so the bride finds out exactly who agrees with her. It takes ten seconds to learn, and anyone who arrives mid-game can join when you press Play again.

Play Bridal Shower Would You Rather

3. Scattergories

Best quick round

A random letter and a list of wedding categories, like "A honeymoon destination" or "Something on a wedding registry". You only score for answers nobody else wrote, so it gets competitive fast.

4. Team Trivia

Best for “How well do you know the bride?”

The shower favorite, with the scoring done for you. Write ten questions about the couple, like where they met or who said “I love you” first, each with the right answer and a couple of wrong ones, on the custom questions page, with Team Trivia picked. Then run them as a live quiz with a leaderboard. Put it on the TV and the bride can read out the right answers.

Play Team Trivia

5. Say Anything

Best for laughs

Each round one guest is the judge and picks a question. Everyone writes an answer, and the judge chooses a favorite while the rest bet on which one it will be. To play your own shower questions, like “What should the honeymoon theme song be?”, add them on the custom questions page, with Say Anything picked.

Every bridal shower question, ready to play

Here is every question in the three bridal shower packs. Read them out at a shower with no phones, copy the ones you like, or press the button under a list to play them with your guests.

Games for every kind of shower

Big showers

Pick games where everyone answers at once: Herd Mentality, Would You Rather and Team Trivia. A free room holds 20 guests. For more, the Host plan holds 50 for $4.99 a month, and the Event plan 250. There are more ideas for big crowds on games for large groups.

Virtual showers

Send the room link in the call chat. Everyone plays on their own phone while you stay on Zoom, Teams or Google Meet to see each other’s reactions.

Couples showers

Would You Rather is the one to start with: put the couple on the spot and see whether their votes match. Then run a quiz about the two of them.

Mixed ages

Grandparents who would rather not use a phone can team up with someone who does. Herd Mentality works especially well across ages, because nobody can be wrong, only different from the room.

A one-hour bridal shower game plan

  1. As guests arrive (10 minutes): bridal shower Would You Rather with whoever is there.
  2. The main game (20 minutes): bridal shower Herd Mentality. Read the funniest answers out loud as they come up.
  3. The quiz (15 minutes): how well do you know the bride, on the TV, with the bride revealing the answers.
  4. To finish (10 minutes): a round of bridal shower Scattergories, then on to the gifts.

Little things that make it work

  • Start the room on the day. Some games close a room a couple of hours after the last round, so make it when the party starts and send the link to the group chat. The invitation only needs to say “bring your phone”.
  • Keep each game short. Three games of 10 to 15 minutes beat one long one.
  • Have small prizes. A candle, a mini bottle of bubbly or first pick of the cupcakes all work.
  • Let the bride play. She is a guest at her own shower, so give the hosting to a friend.

Frequently asked questions

What are good games for a bridal shower?

Games where every guest answers at once, so nobody sits and watches. Bridal shower Herd Mentality (you score by giving the same answer as most of the room), bridal shower Would You Rather and a quiz about the couple all work well, and all of them are played on each guest’s own phone.

Can we play bridal shower games on our phones?

Yes. Every game here runs in the phone’s web browser. The host starts a room and guests join with the link or a short room code. There is no app to download and nobody needs an account.

Do I need to print anything?

No. The questions are already in the game and each guest sees them on their own phone. Nothing to print, no pens, and no score sheets to add up.

How many guests can play?

A free room holds up to 20 guests. For a bigger shower, the Host plan holds 50 for $4.99 a month, and the Event plan holds 250, from $19 for a single month.

Can we play at a virtual bridal shower?

Yes. Guests join from wherever they are with the room link and play on their own phone, while everyone stays on the Zoom, Teams or Google Meet call to see and hear each other.

Can we use questions about the bride and groom?

Yes. On the custom questions page, pick Team Trivia, then write each question with the right answer first and two or three wrong ones after it, like "Where did they first meet? | College | At work | At a wedding". You get a link that opens Team Trivia with your questions loaded.
