How to play Clover Clues

Clover Clues is a free online cooperative word game inspired by the modern clue-writing genre that games like So Clover made popular. You all share one score, so it's pure teamwork. Here's a round, step by step:

  1. Get your clover. Each player is dealt 4 words arranged in a ring, with a "clue zone" between each neighbouring pair.
  2. Write a one-word clue for each of the 4 zones — a single word that links the two neighbouring words (you can't use those words themselves).
  3. A decoy is added. A 5th word is secretly shuffled into your four, so your team won't know which four were really yours.
  4. Rebuild every clover together. One at a time (its author stays silent), the team uses the clues to place the right 4 of 5 cards back in the leaves.
  5. Score as a team — 1 point per correct card, +2 for a perfect clover. Add up every clover and try to beat your record.
